Representatives of the Vietnam Interiors Association participate in activities at Milan Design Week 2024. This is also an opportunity for representatives of the Vietnam Interiors Association to exchange, learn and share experiences in the field of design and architecture.
Recently, Vice President of the Vietnam Interiors Association Vu Hong Cuong and Chief of the Central Office of the Vietnam Interiors Association Luu Viet Thang attended the EDIDA 2024 Awards Ceremony in Milan.
During Milan Design Week and the Salone De Milano fair, ELLE DECOR and its international publications – including 25 global editions – honored the best products in design and architecture with the ELLE DECOR International Design Awards (EDIDA). The winners in 15 categories were chosen by the editors-in-chief of each publication.
In the “Materia Natura” theme, Vice President Vu Hong Cuong and Chief Luu Viet Thang explored notable exhibits from participating countries. The Vietnam Pavilion, making its debut at Milan Design Week, showcased distinctive and creative features.
Vietnam Pavilion is inspired by the dynamic, creative, colorful and culturally diverse Saigon Metropolitan, expressing the characteristics of modern, bustling urban life within the space limitation solved by effective “compression” from the outside and blossoming into optimal living space inside. Vietnam Pavilion is made up of more than 400 wooden modules combined with traditional Vietnamese natural rattan materials, colorful and creative.
Using traditional, environmentally friendly natural materials, under the creative perspective of the team of Vietnamese architects and designers, the diversity of natural materials has been highlighted, creating inspiration and a sustainable message for the exhibition space of Vietnam Pavilion. These are also high-award winning products from the Hoa Mai Design Award, furniture collections selected from Vietnamese furniture manufacturers, along with exquisite handicrafts and gifts handcrafted by the hands of Vietnamese artisans and skilled workers.
Vietnam Pavilion at Milan Design Week 2024 is a project supported by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, jointly organized by ITPC and HAWA. The pavilion has a total area of 360m2, displaying selected furniture and handicraft products from 35 Vietnamese enterprises. The booth is open for visitors from April 16-21, 2024.
