Beihouse – Beirut’s new members’ club – is an iconic restoration project, led by renowned artists and creatives who came together to revive three Ottoman-era townhouses in the historic Gemmayzeh district. The project offers a multifaceted experience, combining dining, bars, craft workshops, upscale accommodations, and a future boutique hotel.

The three houses are connected by a spacious courtyard featuring a century-old olive tree at its center, creating a space where past and present meet. Steel structures and high-performance glass were integrated to reinforce the buildings and enable new functions. Two houses were extended with additional floors, while the third was upgraded with a double-height volume and a floating terrace that seamlessly connects the old and new spaces.

With a strong desire to preserve Beirut’s urban memory and honor its spirit of renewal, lead architect Nadine Harake shared that the team prioritized restoring every salvaged stone; for what was lost, they reused local materials from other decommissioned buildings. In the next two years, the boutique hotel is expected to open, continuing this meaningful mission.
