On March 28, 2024, the Asia-Pacific Space Design Association (APSDA) officially announced the launch of the “Asia-Pacific Interior Designers’ Accreditation” (AP-ID-AP) program.

AP-ID-AP is a program recognized by 14 countries and territories including Australia, Hong Kong, Macao, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand, with representatives from 9 countries attending the official launch event held at the Asia-Pacific Design Center (APDC). AP-ID-AP is also one of the officially designated advertising partners in China. The program will set new standards in interior design by accrediting professional interior designers.

As the first and only program of its kind, AP-ID-AP aims to elevate the standards of the interior design profession and facilitate career mobility within the Asia-Pacific community. The accreditation council, composed of industry experts, will establish a reputable foundation for the program.

The registration Phase 1 opened on March 28, 2024, targeting Group A – APSDA member economies. Phase 2 will commence in early June 2024 for Group B – APSDA member economies. Interested interior designers are invited to apply and receive professional recognition for their skills and expertise.

The “Asia-Pacific Interior Designers’ Accreditation” (AP-ID-AP) program plays a crucial role in shaping the future of cross-border interior design practice.
